David E. Helmick Sr., 63, formerly of Orlando WV

David E. Helmick Sr. 63 of Eva TN, formerly of Orlando WV; went home to be with our Lord on June 10, 2020.

He left behind his wife of 46 years Mary Jane Donaldson Helmick, who will miss him so very much.

He also leaves behind a son, David E Helmick Jr. and wife Kristy; a grandson, Dustin and a granddaughter Kaitlyn; and also 2 great-grandsons Neil, Wayne and Jaxon Cole and 2 great-granddaughters, Twins Raylynn Mae and Paisley Ray all of TN.

Also surviving are 8 siblings, Clifford Jr. of Weston, James and wife Mona of Buckhannon, Gary and wife Relanna of WV; Ronzel and companion Roseanna of Linn, Vernon and wife Kathy of Jane Lew, Shirley Burrows of Jane Lew, Carolyn Waltz of WI and Roselea Marks and husband Harlin of NC. He also had 3 special sisters who loved him like the brother he was, Nikia Lunsford and husband Donnie, Debbie Weaver, and Lorraine Bailey and companion Bruch Golden, all of Glenville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olive and Clifford Helmick, and 1 son, Dana Paul.

Special thanks to Kathy Helmick, Kristie Collins, Roselie Marks, and Joni Raulston for helping Janie with the care of David. Special thanks to nephews, Dale Helmick and Scott Helmick, Dale for the food and just being there for the family and Scott for just being there. A big special thanks for Mike Hess and sons for making everything run smoothly for David, and last but not least, we would like to thank the Gilmer County Fire Dept. for the dinner they put together and a heartfelt thanks to Terry Ellyson and Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. for his help on getting David's wishes carried out in the manner he wanted.

If we forgot anyone, we thank each and every one of you, God Bless you all. The family of David E. Helmick Sr.
