The Preston County Health Department is investigating a COVID-19 outbreak linked to recent trips to Myrtle Beach.

North Carolina continues to spike in cases.

The health department said it has discovered the link to the cases so far are from recent trips to Myrtle Beach.

Residents of Preston County who have traveled to Myrtle Beach or other crowded beaches or vacation destinations in the last two weeks are being asked to self-quarantine for 14 days upon their return home.

“If self quarantine is not possible, please limit your exposure to others to the bare minimum and wear a face covering if in public or around others,” the health department said in the post.
