Congratulations to Vicki Lamot, Sarah Lynch and Matthew Bonar.

The three students will be representing Calhoun County High School at the West Virginia All-State Choir, which will be held in conjunction with the WV Music Educators Conference at Marshall University.

The students auditioned eight pieces of music before a panel of judges this past Saturday in Ripley.

Selections of music included Haydn's "The Heavens are Telling" from "The Creation," two Latin selections "Ave Maria" by Biebl and "Gloria" from "Miss Kenya" by Paul Basler. A gospel spiritual "Children Go Where I Send Thee" and "Over the Rainbow" from the Wizard of Oz are other selections as well as a German piece.

The students will rehearse in Huntington for two days with approximately 300 other students from around the state. They will perform on Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00 p.m. on the Marshall University Campus.
