BECKLEY GUNFIRE - A man faces charges in Beckley after police said he is accused of firing shots, fleeing from officers in a vehicle at a high rate of speed and throwing a gun out of a window. Lawrence Esean Skidmore of Beckley was charged Saturday with five counts of wanton endangerment with a firearm and fleeing an officer with a vehicle with reckless disregard, according to a news release from the Beckley Police Department. Skidmore was taken to Southern Regional Jail, where he is currently being held on a $30,000 bond.
