THREE INJURED IN MT. ZION CRASH EARLY FRIDAY - Some Injured Entrapped, Flown To Medical Center

A single vehicle crash on the Mt. Zion ridge, Rt. 16 south, sent the driver and two passengers to the hospital shortly after midnight.

Some of the injured were entrapped, the vehicle left the roadway at the in a sharp turn.

The injured, two males and a female, were tentatively identified as residents of Gilmer County.

One of the injured was being flown by chopper to a medical center, the other two were taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Systems.

Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD responded to the incident, with a second ambulance dispatched from Gilmer County.

The Calhoun Sheriffs Department is investigating.
