Carl Thomas Patterson, 86, of Mineral Wells

Carl Thomas Patterson, 86, of Mineral Wells WV, and Cleveland OH, passed away on June 9, 2020 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg WV. He was born June 13, 1933 the son of the late Lewis and Margaret Mallow Patterson.

Carl served in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved NASCAR, fishing, camping, bluegrass and gospel music. He was a member of the Teamsters Union #407, and drove trucks for 35 years for Consolidated Cartage of Cleveland, Ohio, and a member of 10th Ave. Harmony Baptist Church.

Carl has a kind gentle passionate soul, he will be greatly missed.

He was a devoted husband and is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Mary Pauline Patterson; caring father of 8 children Betty Patterson, Linda (Bernie) Angelo, Patty (Fred) Roberts, Robin (Jamie) Peters, Brenda (Starling) Holbert, Christopher Patterson and Michael Patterson, deceased; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

In addition to his parents and son Michael, he was preceded in death by brothers Harry and Robert Patterson and a sister Lils Cedar.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV, with the Rev. Tom Gribble officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 12. Interment will be at Hill Grove #2, Sanoma Road.
