UPDATE: COVID-19 VOTE COUNTING - CALHOUN VOTERS HAVE ALREADY CAST 1,356 BALLOTS - Clerk Simers Gives Rundown

UPDATE ELECTION NIGHT - Only candidates will be allowed inside the court house.

Masks will be required inside the court house and will be provided for those who don’t have one. Enter at the front door. The tabulating computer will be set up in the hallway near the top of the front inside steps.

The steps will be blocked off.

Candidates will be able to view the tabulation from the entrance hallway.

Final results will read from steps when all races are tabulated. Written Copies of results will be available at that time.

6-8-08 - Calhoun voters have already cast 1,356 ballots.

Calhoun Clerk Jean Simers says there are 209 early in-person voters at the county courthouse.

Simers says 1,384 absentee ballots mailed with 1,147 absentee ballots returned with an 82.9% return rate.

Absentee ballots can be mailed and will be counted as long as they are received by June 15, 2020 - date of canvass.

All polls will open at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow morning and close at 7:30 p.m.

Precincts 4 and 6 will be vote at the Senior Citizens Building in the Basement - follow the signs.
