PM TUESDAY: WV 28 NEW COVID-19 CASES

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 15 new cases of the coronavirus Tuesday evening with 13 in the AM report, a total of 28.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, there have been a total of 102,298 laboratory results received for COVID-19 with 2,056 total cases and 78 of those cases resulting in deaths.

The DHHR confirmed the death of a 70-year-old woman from Berkeley County as the state’s 78th death caused by COVID-19.

According to the DHHR’s website, there are currently 605 active cases and 1,373 recovered cases in the state.
