Mary B. Nichols, age 85, of Parkersburg, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23, 2020.
She was born January 13, 1935 in Richardson, WV a daughter of the late Buford Nichols and Grace Connolly Nichols.
Mary worked many years in the hotel and restaurant business and owned Grantsville Hotel & Restaurant at one point in her life. She loved people and was also an avid animal lover.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Connie (Bill) Law of Parkersburg WV, Anita Godfrey and Elaina Nicholas both of Canal Winchester OH; a sister, Juanita (Jim) Bell of Grantsville, WV; grandchildren, Josh Nicholas of Grantsville, Christa (Paige) Perkins of McCordsville IN, Melissa (Travis) Skinner of Weston WV, John (Michelle) Godfrey of Washington WV, and Brittany Presta of Parkersburg;
great-grandchildren, Dayton Perkins, Raegan Perkins, Greyson Godfrey, Teiarra Presta, TJ Presta, Brody Skinner and Adelyn Skinner. She is also survived by her dog, Precious, nephews and many friends.
There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. The family requests, if you would like to do something in memory of Mary, please donate to your local animal shelter in her name.
