| William Earl "Tim" Powell passed away at home surrounded by his family May 12, 2020. He was born April 20, 1940 to the late Don and Garnet Wigal Powell. He attended Wirt County High School. He is survived by his wife Guada Powell, his sons Michael (Mary Jo) Wotring and Timothy Powell; his daughters Gayla (Keith) Castle and Patricia "Trish" Lang; two grandsons, 6 granddaughters, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter and a brother Clair Edward Powell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons William Earl Powell Jr and John "Jack" Powell; siblings Roy Powell, Everett "Shorty" Powell, Wanda "Toots" Powell Wines. As a youth he attended Mt Hope Church. He was a driver for Head Start and Wirt County Senior Citizens. He enjoyed fox hunting, fishing, and going to Wirt County Senior Citizens where he enjoyed calling Bingo and visiting with friends. He also loved to garden. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday May 15, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery on Windy Ridge, with Rev. Rick Williams officiating. The family would like to thank Housecalls Hospice and Angela Nester for the excellent care given to Mr. Powell and the family.
