Andrew Peter Bremar, 66, of Belpre, formerly of Grantsville

Andrew Peter Bremar, 66, of Belpre, died May 9, 2020, at his residence.

Andrew was born September 25, 1953 in Tonawanda, N.Y., and was the son of the late Edwin and Teresa (Smith) Bremar.

Andrew was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired special education teacher for Calhoun County Schools, known affectionately as "Mr. B" by the many students who loved him. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Little Hocking and was on the parish council. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 64, of which he was past Commander, VFW Post 5108 both in Marietta and Knights of Columbus 15569 in Little Hocking. He loved being a grandpa.

Andrew is survived by his sons Ryan A. Bremar (Leslie) of Scott Depot, WV, and Jon J. Bremar (Kayla) of Arnoldsburg, WV; grandchildren Ariana, Gavin, Natalia and Owen Bremar and soon to be Karina Bremar; sisters Barbara Vandendries, Bev Cox and Janet Pugh; brothers Ed, Matt, Kenny, Jimmy and Doug Bremar and several nieces and nephews.

Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre is assisting the family. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5080 School House Rd, Little Hocking, OH, 45742.
