PLEASANT HILL ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ARE KEEPING BUSY - Reading, Recipes And Tents

(05/06/2020)

Pleasant Hill Kindergarten and First grade students, pretended to be chefs and helped someone in their home cook or bake something. Cooking is a wonderful activity to do with children! They learn so many skills such as learning to follow directions, math skills like fractions when measuring, practicing reading if they read or write a recipe and of course learning all about temperature with the oven.

Second grade students have been finding creative places to read stories. Some have made forts and tents and others have created relaxing spaces to enjoy some time with their favorite books.

Third graders are keeping a journal on how the pandemic is effecting them on a daily basis. The students are working hard to create memories to look back on during this time in their lives ...

... And Fourth graders have been reading daily with Mrs. Ritchie! What a great way to connect with students and keep them engaged in reading activities. In math, students were teaching each other a lesson on place value! How exciting for students to learn from each other.
