WELCOME ABOARD WEST VIRGINIA'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY

The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) advocates the fact that literacy development begins at birth. To heighten young children’s early literacy experiences, West Virginia is a proud partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides free, high-quality books to children ages birth to five. As of July 1, 2020, all 55 counties in West Virginia now offer the program in some capacity. To further maximize the number of children who can participate in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program, the WVDE, in partnership with Marshall University’s June Harless Center, will be providing funding support to counties based on their current collaboration model with the Imagination Library program.
