PM TUESDAY: 18 NEW CASES OF COVID-19

West Virginia’s positive COVID-19 total increased by 18 cases Tuesday afternoon.

No new deaths were reported, and the state’s cumulative positive test results remained under 3% with the rate at 2.26 percent.

The state Department of Health and Human Resources said in a news released the state’s overall positive virus total was 1,224 as of 5 p.m.

According to the DHHR’s website, 630 people have recovered. There are 64 hospitalized, with 12 on a ventilator in the intensive care unit and 11 in ICU.

More than 54,000 people have been tested.
