DRAKE ARRESTED FOR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES AT MINNORA

Robert Drake, 63, of Ivydale, Clay County was arrested May 4th by State Trooper Brian E. Young and charged with Possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of marijuana; no Insurance and improper registration. He is currently incarcerated at Central Regional Jail with bond set at $20,000.00. Officer Young was driving north on WV 16 at Minnora, when he observed a green in color Saturn Sedan parked beside the road with the windows fogged up, according to the complaint. Officer Young ran the license plate through WVSP dispatch, which came back to a different car, after which Drake could not present vehicle information. Officer Young, according to the complaint, then looked into the car and observed a pill bottle wrapped in tape, discovering marijuana and then the officer discovered three small plastic bags in the accused's wallet, identified as methamphetamine.
