Michael Allen "Mike" Anderson, 69, of Spencer

Michael Allen "Mike" Anderson, 69, of Spencer, formerly of Reedy, died Friday, April 17, 2020, at Specialty Select Hospital, Charleston, after an extended illness.

He was born July 8, 1950, at Spencer, the son of the late Paul O. and Jaunita L. Wilson Anderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Grover Anderson.

Mike was a retired driller. He attended the Reedy United Methodist Church, Reedy and was a former member of the Reedy Volunteer Fire Department. His pastimes included trading guns and visiting with his many friends at Marcap Manor, Spencer.

Survivors include a sister, Jessie Justice of Spencer; brothers, Kenneth Anderson of Fox Lake, Ill., Ray Anderson of Ripley and David Anderson of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; several nieces and nephews.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis and concern for the health and safety of friends and family, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20 at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel Whited officiating.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
