PHE EARLY STEPS PARTICIPATES IN VIRTUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

Submitted by Michele Hipp Pleasant Hill Elementary Early Steps to School Success (ESSS) in conjunction with Vroom Community Ambassador Deb Smith collaborated with Calhoun County Communities In Schools (CIS) on a first ever Virtual Easter Egg Hunt. The grand prize was a $25.00 Amazon Gift Card donated by Rick Postalwait. Michele Hipp, Early Childhood Coordinator and Deb Smith with Vroom posted parenting tips and children’s activities while CIS invited special community guests to Read Aloud their favorite children’s book. Easter Eggs were "hidden" within the online videos and activities. The Virtual Easter Egg Hunt was coordinated in an effort to engage Calhoun County children and the Community using Facebook as their venue. A special thank you to the Community Individuals who shared their favorite children's books: Samantha Wilson of Relax Refresh Renew Therapeutic Massage; Michael Hicks Calhoun County Commissioner; Lora Davis Calhoun Magistrate; Amy Nicholas Pleasant Hill Elementary Principal; Shannon Johnson Calhoun County Prosecutor; Brian Young West Virginia State Police; Tim Moore Calhoun County State Farm; Dr. Ariel DDS with Minnie Hamilton Dental Care; Rick Postalwait Calhoun Magistrate; Ammanda Frame from Calhoun County Banks.
