MONDAY PM: UPDATE WV COVID-19 VIRUS

West Virginia has reported another coronavirus death and added 7 more positive COVID-19 cases.

The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported as of 5:00 p.m. the state had a total of nine deaths. DHHR officials said in a news release the person who died was a 69-year-old male from Ohio County.

Meanwhile, the DHHR said the state has a total of 633 positive cases. This is an increase of 7 cases from the total reported Monday at 10 a.m..

More than 16,700 people have been tested. The percentage of people testing positive is 3.78 percent.
