CALHOUN SCHOOLS ISSUED 11,960 MEALS TO 1,196 CHILDREN FRIDAY

(04/13/2020)
Calhoun Schools issued 11,960 meals Friday to 1,196 children under age 18 and younger, according to Calhoun School Superintendent Kelli Whytsell.

"We have gotten a little faster at loading, so the wait is not as long. Each week we get a little better. These are long days with all the staff working really hard," said Whytsell.

"We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding. We have had some nice videos shared by some of our students enjoying the meals on our Facebook page. This makes all the hard work worth it to know that our students have the food they need."

There will be another food distribution this Friday, April 17, from 11:00-2:00 at CMHS. We will use the same procedure as in the past with the front loop and employees loading cars.

The school system encourages every family that has children 18 and younger to come out and participate in the food distribution.
