Shirley Mae Richards, 64 of Grantsville, WV passed away on April 7, 2020 at her home.

She was born May 7, 1955 in Middlesex County, Perth Amboy, NJ.

Shirley was a hardworking woman. She was a laborer, a great cook, and a talented gardener. She loved music and was happiest singing and jamming out with friends and family. Above all else, she was a mother. She loved her kids more than anything else in the world and would do anything for them.

She is also survived by her brothers Roger, George, and Peter and her sister Dorothy.

In heaven, she joins her mother and father, Robert and Ethel;brothers, Jimmy, Gary, Roland; and sisters, Sandy and Kathy. Shirley loved her family dearly.

Special thanks to the community of people in Grantsville that provided support to her during the past few months. She loved the town of Grantsville because of the amazing people. Special thanks to all the Roane County Home Care nurses, for going above and beyond while caring for her, especially Kim Hatts. Also, thanks to the Hospice workers that helped us near the end.

Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV has been entrusted with Shirley's final arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be planned later.
