FOODLAND GETS A 'SHINING STAR' - SPECIAL SENIOR SHOPPING HOURS

We issue a Shining Star to Foodland and Waco Foods for rising to the call of the CONVID-19 virus. The stores and their employees have gone the extra mile to keep the store stocked and clean and to assist Calhoun families with safer access. Maybe some gratitude goes to the Morris Family of Glenville for rescuing the local Foodland from closing, the only supermarket in Calhoun County. Waco Foods has announced "Senior Shopping Hours" for those age 65 and older. There will also be a 5% discount during this time. This includes the Craigsville, Glenville, and Grantsville Foodlands, In order to better protect the senior population, they are implementing "Senior ONLY Shopping Hours" on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. All seniors age 65 and over will be allowed to shop during this time. Foodland will continue to monitor the situation for an ending time. This will allow the cleanest time possible and have limited person to person contact during the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers are asked to please respect the community and decisions during this time to allow them to shop. They are worthy of a SHINING STAR.
