Coach Stump stated, "The state tournament was exceptionally strong, with many upsets taking place in every round. We got off to a slow start, but collected ourselves to finish 3rd overall."

"I would like to honor the three seniors who wrestled in their last state tournament. Ray, Jeff, and Damon,. Each of you have contributed a portion of your life, a ton of sacrifice, and a commitment to Calhoun County wrestling. Although your personal goals were not met, each of you succeeded in helping the team reach our goals. Thanks for the hard work and dedication," said Stump.
