GOVERNOR SAYS STATE WILL NOT BE "SHUT DOWN" YET

(03/22/2020)
West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice held a live, statewide address Saturday evening to provide West Virginians with an update on COVID-19.

The address began with Justice announcing that 397 people in the state have been tested for Coronavirus, with 12 confirmed positive cases.

The governor briefly mentioned that he was not shutting the state down at this time.

Several states have ordered a stay-at-home order.

Justice talked at length about how the virus was affecting New York and suggested West Virginians take action to prevent a similar outcome from happening here.

Early reports say several thousand WV workers have been furloughed.
