MINNIE HAMILTON HEALTH SYSTEM ANNOUNCES VISITOR RESTRICTIONS

Due to the most recent healthcare concerns, Minnie Hamilton Health System has placed restrictions on visitation to better protect patients, staff and the community.

Below are the guidelines for visiting Acute Care, the Emergency Department and Long Term Care.

All visitors must sign in at registration and receive a pass before they are permitted to visit.

Acute Care and Emergency Department - ​Each patient is limited to one visitor at a time and any visitor 16 and under is not permitted with certain situations allowing some flexibility.

Long Term Care - ​Visitation has been discontinued until further notice.  A portable phone is available which will allow you to speak directly to your loved one.  The number is 304-354-5142.

Testing Requirements
These are the testing requirements for the evaluation of patients who may be ill with or who may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.

⦁ Exposure - If in the past 14 days since first onset of symptoms, the individual has a history of either

⦁ Live in or travel to geographic areas with sustained community transmission.

⦁ Close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 illness; and

⦁ The person has these symptoms - fever and/or symptoms of lower respiratory illness (e.g., cough, shortness of breath).

If both exposure and symptoms are present, patient will be tested for COVID-19.
