WAYNE MURDER — The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said a man was charged with the murder of a woman inside a restaurant.

Gary Lee Damron, 45, of Huntington was charged with murder, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Sheriff Rick Thompson said Damron walked inside about 9:40 a.m. Friday and shot Keilee Sparks in Tudor's Biscuit World in Lavalette. Sparks, who was an employee at the restaurant, was found in the kitchen.

Thompson said Damron fled to his home in Cabell County, where he was captured by West Virginia State Police. He was arraigned on charges in Cabell County.

Wayne County Prosecutor Tom Plymale said the shooting stemmed from a domestic situation between a man and a woman who had a longtime relationship.

A Tudor's corporate spokesman said the restaurant will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
