CLAY VFD RESPONDS TO MOBILE HOME FIRE

Several crews responded Monday afternoon to a mobile home fire in Clay County. The fire was reported about noon on Blue Knob Road in the Maysel area. It was fully involved when crews arrived. Dispatchers said no one was home. No injuries were reported. Clay County VFD Chief Mike Scott said the abandoned mobile home was destroyed by a fire and then spread to some brush. Both fires are under control at this time. The Clay and Big Otter volunteer fire departments, West Virginia Division of Forestry and Clay County EMS responded.
