BUTLER ARRESTED ON DUI, RELATED CHARGES BY CALHOUN SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT - Crashed Vehicle On Rowels Run

The Calhoun Sheriffs Department arrested Jacob Butler, 32, of Elizabeth, charging him with aggravated DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while suspended, no proof of insurance, no MVI, and no proof of registration.

Butler wrecked his vehicle on Rowels Run, then presenting eradicate behavior walking on the roadway.

Arresting officer Chief Deputy Jason Chang, according to the criminal complaint, had .214 on initial test for alcohol.

Butler was released on bond.

ERRATIC DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY BY SHERIFF AFTER VEHICLE CRASH ON ROWELS RUN

3/3/2020 - Responders went to a vehicle crash on Rowels Run Road about 3:30 p.m. Monday, the vehicle landing on its side and blocking the roadway, the driver extracting himself without apparent injuries.

The driver appeared to be under the influence, left the scene walking up the highway, waving his arms, dancing and yelling incoherent statements, sometimes laying down in the roadway.

The Grantsville VFD and Calhoun EMS responded to the scene.

Calhoun Sheriff Jeff Starcher and Chief Deputy Jason Chang took the man into custody about a quarter mile from the accident.

He was being medically evaluated, although he had no apparent injuries.
