SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ARREST COUPLE ON FELONY DRUG CHARGES

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department, with assistance from the West Virginia State Police and West Virginia Natural Resources Police, executed a search warrant Monday on Annamoriah Road.

During the search, a black backpack containing precursors and components of a clandestine meth lab were discovered in a camper trailer, belonging to Johnathon Dean Miller.

A certified meth-tech officer was summoned to the scene to dispose of the meth lab. As a result of the search warrant, Deanna Marie Wright, 45 and Johnathon Miller, 32 were arrested and charged by Sheriff Jeff Starcher and Chief Deputy Jason Chang.

They are charged with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab, possession of methamphetamine precursors, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

They were arraigned by Magistrate Rick Postalwait and transported to Central Regional Jail.

Wright's bond is set at $50,000 cash only. Miller's bond is set at $50,000 cash/surety.
