CALHOUN YOUTH WRESTLERS ARE STATE BOUND!

This past Sunday, 25 Calhoun Youth Wrestlers traveled to Brooke Co. or Huntington to compete in the West Virginia Youth Wrestling Association Regional Tournament. Wrestlers placing in the top 6 of the their respective brackets are guaranteed a trip to the WVYWA State Tournament, and those placing 7th or 8th earn alternate spots.

The following wrestlers have punched their ticket to the state tournament:

Raines Riddel 7th place-4u 40; Carper Summers 2nd place-4u 45; Carter Goodrich 4th place-6u 40 (2019 State Runner Up); Liam Yeager 5th place-6u 45; Silas Cunningham 4th place-6u 50; Cooper Summers 5th place-6u 55; Bentley Thomas 4th place-8u 65; Ezra Anderson 2nd place-8u 85; Landon Hawkins 3rd place-8u 85; Mark Callow 3rd place-8u HWT.

Also: Gauge Goodrich 1st place-10u 55 (3x Region Champ, 2018 & 2019 State Champ); Kyleigh Morris 7th place-10u 55; Tucker Sampson 5th place-10u 80; Wattson Nichols 6th place-10u 85; Henry Walsh 6th place-10u 90; Nicolis Butler 7th place-10u 90; Remedy Riddel 3rd place-10u 105; Richard Bush 2nd place-10u HWT; Rome Riddel 3rd place-12u 105; Wyatt Nichols 4th place-12u 115.
