Lois Faye Furr, 78, of Glenville

Lois Faye Furr age 78 of Glenville WV, departed this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at her residence in Glenville following an extended illness.

She was born May 1, 1941 in Charleston WV, daughter of the late George Edward and Lora Ross Hughey.

Lois is a graduate of Charleston High School, class of 1959. She is Baptist by faith and member of the First Baptist Church of Glenville. She is also a homemaker and an excellent cook.

On November 1, 1962 Lois was united in marriage to Willard Vance Furr, who preceded her in death in April 1997.

Surviving are 5 children, Jimmy Hughey (Janice) of Kentucky; Willard V. Furr II of Glenville; Alicia Gower (Jeff) of Conroe TX; Timothy Furr of Glenville; and Stephanie Sutter (Ben) of Virginia: and 2 siblings, Nola Davis of Virginia and Charles Hughey (Reba) of Marmet WV.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Lois is preceded in death by her brother, Bill Hughey.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 12:00-noon, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 with Pastor Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Marmet City Cemetery in Marmet WV. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to noon Wednesday morning at the mortuary in Glenville.

Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. is assisting the family of Lois Furr with arrangements.
