Steven Eugene "Stevie" Godfrey Jr., 47, of Sand Fork

Steven Eugene "Stevie" Godfrey Jr. age 47 of Dusk Camp Run Road, Sand Fork WV, departed this life suddenly on the evening of Monday, February 3, 2020 at his father's residence on Dusk Camp following a sudden illness.

He was born December 15, 1972 in Weston WV, son of Steven E. Godfrey Sr. and companion Joyce Hitt of Dusk Camp and the late Lula Belle Keith Godfrey.

Stevie is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1991. In his youth, Stevie loved playing football, basketball, and baseball. In recent years Stevie ran the chains at local football games and he loved watching all kinds of sports on TV. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, living the country life, and spending time with family and friends.

Along with his father Steve Sr., Stevie is survived by 2 sons, Steven "Trey" Godfrey III and companion Kaitlyn See of Copley WV; and Chayton Godfrey of Baldwin WV; and 4 siblings, Jeff Keith and wife Susan of Ellis Road, Aaron Godfrey of Dusk Camp, Josh Godfrey of Dusk Camp, and Crystal Conrad and husband Jimmy of Burnsville.

Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Orlando Cemetery in Orlando WV. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday morning at the mortuary in Glenville.
