Harry Wayne "Tiny" Williams, 78, of Spencer

Harry Wayne "Tiny" Williams, 78, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away at home per his wishes with his family by his side on January 26, 2020.

He was born May 31, 1941 in Spencer, a son of the late Walter C. "George" and Helen Guthrie Williams. He was raised in Peniel, West Virginia and was a 1958 Spencer High School graduate. He worked for A&P Tea Company for 17 years and also worked as a meat manager for Pic-Pac Supermarket. He was a dispatcher for the City of Spencer and served as a Roane County Fireman in the 1960's and 1970's. He was a former member of the Spencer Orderof the Demolay. Tiny was the founder of the Roane County Gun Club and a member of the Ohio Gun CollectorÂ’s Association. He loved to hunt. He and his late wife, Linda Lou Williams, opened their home to many foster children throughout the years.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Williams; two sisters, Carlyn Williams and Joyce Morgan; brother-in-law, Delmar Matheney; and a granddaughter, Jessica "Sissy" Koon. He is survived by his daughters, Darlene Williams (Vicki Reuss), Donna Koon and Deanna Browning Sampson (Bobby); sons, David Williams (Eva Quick), Bruce Fittro (Heather); foster son, Keith Sines; sisters, Judy Scott (Roger) and Janet Matheney; brother, Terry Williams; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim Morgan; sister-in-law, Karen Williams; special friend, Lydia Crislip; and long-time friend, Donald Hudkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Peniel. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
