Barbara Ann Carpenter Nichols, 84, of Twinsburg OH, formerly Calhoun

BARBARA ANN NICHOLS, 84, of Twinsburg, Ohio formerly of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Heartland Rehab Center in Twinsburg.

She was born November 8, 1935 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Slaithel and Audra Starcher Carpenter. She was a member of the Seven Day Adventist Church, enjoyed reading her Bible, collecting angels, and spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

Barbara is survived by her only daughter, Patricia Ann Smith (husband, Johnny F. Smith); granddaughter, Jamie Lyn Smith (boyfriend, Lou Trusnik, Jr.); and grandson, Jason Ray Smith; sisters, Linda Kincaid and Bessie Merrill; brother, Chuck Carpenter; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Gene and Kenneth Carpenter; and her sisters, Caroline and Diane Carpenter, Daisy Yoak, and Eloise Nichols.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Seven Day Adventist Church in Spencer. Burial will follow in the Starcher Cemetery on Henry’s Fork in Calhoun County. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
