Barbara Ellen Webb, 66, Gilmer County

Barbara Ellen Webb, age 66 of Copen Road, Gilmer County WV, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport WV, while under the care of Hospice.

She was born July 10, 1953 in on Sinking Creek in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Ewell Junior and Virginia Mae Losh Stump.

Barbara worked as a CNA for United Summit Center, William R. Sharp Jr. Hospital, Genesis Health Care, Gilmer County Senior Citizens, and Braxton County Senior Citizens. She is a Pentecostal by faith, an ordained minister, and loved volunteering her time to help her family and friends.

In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed tending to her flower garden, fishing, hunting, living the quiet life, caring for her fish in her fish pond, and spending time with family and friends.

On September 21, 1972 Barbara was united in marriage to Michael Herbert Webb, who survives at their Copen Road home.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Virginia L. Hardman of Gilmer Station WV and Debra D. Helmick (Danny) of Linn WV; 1 son, Tray Webb of Copen WV; 8 grandsons, William, Dalton, George, and James "Wyatt" Hardman, and Danny II, Trevor, Warren, and Ashton Helmick.

Also surviving are 3 brothers, Johnny E. and Jimmy Stump of Burnsville, and Roy Lee Stump (Sue) of Cleveland OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Ann Webb, 2 brothers, Charles and Ronnie Stump, and 1 sister, Brenda Stump.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Fork Cemetery in Sand Fork, WV. Friends will be received from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, Jan. 28th at the mortuary in Glenville.
