LOCKDOWN - Several schools in southern Berkeley County have resumed normal operations after a morning incident placed them on a “code orange” lockdown.

The lockdown was initiated after the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department responded to an armed robbery at the 51 Eleven Lounge at 7990 Winchester Avenue.

“Code orange” means classes go on as scheduled, but students and staff remain inside of the building.

WOMAN STABBED - One woman was taken to the hospital in Charleston after a stabbing.

It happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday at the KRT Transit Mall.

Charleston Police say two women got into an argument when one stabbed the other.

The woman stabbed was taken to the hospital. Her condition is not known at this time. Police detained the other woman for questioning.
