Zetta Jean Campbell, 96, of Glenville

Zetta Jean Campbell age 96 of Glenville WV, departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Saturday January 11, 2020 at her daughter's residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born October 17, 1923 in Cedarville WV, daughter of the late Fletcher and Elva Norman Burke.

Zetta was the owner and operator of Ray's Grocery on top of Stewarts Creek Hill for 12 years. She also worked at the Glenville Glass Factory, Rubber Fabricators in Smithville, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In her spare time, Zetta enjoyed working in her garden, canning food, watching WVU sports, and attending live gospel concerts.

Zetta is a Methodist by faith, former member of the College Street United Methodist Church and current member of the Crooked Run United Methodist Church.

On April 22, 1950 Zetta was united in marriage to Ray Campbell who preceded her in death on June 6, 1985.

Surviving is her daughter, Pamela Furr of Glenville, and grandson, Scott Furr also of Glenville.

Along with her parents, Zetta is preceded in death by 9 siblings, Walker Burke, Oleva Furr, Wanda Townsend, Oma Flinter, Eula Waldeck, Madeline Groves, Shirley Minigh, Elsie Kirkpatrick, and Iona Burke, and her son-in-law, Danny H. Furr.

The family would like to take an opportunity to thank Zetta's caregivers, Jennifer Hamrick and Steve Tomi for their care and compassion while caring for Zetta.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Stalnaker Cemetery in Glenville. Friends will be received from 11:00-1:00 Wednesday at the mortuary in Glenville.

In lieu of flowers the family of Zetta request memorial contributions be made in her honor to either the Gilmer County Volunteer Fire Department or the Gilmer County Senior Citizens.
