RED DEVILS HAVE TWO BASKETBALL VICTORIES

The Calhoun Red Devils brought home two basketball victories this week. Tuesday the Lady Red Devils played Clay County in the first round of Class AA, Region IV sectionals and won 41-30. Stats: Rebounds 41 (Satterfield 9); Assists 11 (Hartshorn 4, Hupp 3); Steals 17 (Hall 5, Pfeffer 4, Hupp 4); Turnovers 23. Melissa Hartshorn 3 10-10 16, Katie Hupp 3 2-3 9, Tiffany Hall 1 1-2 3, Tia Satterfield 0 1-4 1, Ashli Cottrell 2 0-0 4, Laura Pfeffer 4 0-0 8. The boys team won 70-67 over the Williamstown Yellowjackets with Marcus Davis having a season high of 37 points, grabbing 18 rebounds. Stats: Calhoun 8 24 21 17 - 70; Williamstown 14 17 16 20 - 67.
