STREET GUNFIRE - Charleston police are investigating after two houses were struck when an estimated 10 to 12 shots were fired on the West Side, Lt. Autumn Davis said.

The incident was reported about 3 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Glenwood Avenue.

Police at the scene said witnesses were not cooperating.

Shell casings were recovered in an alley off of Glenwood Avenue.

BOONE MAN SHOT IN HEAD - West Virginia State Police said a man who had been shot twice in the head was found Friday along a road in Boone County.

The call initially came in about 12:15 p.m. that indicated someone had been hit by a car along Camp Creek Road in Julian. Troopers said that it was later determined the man had been shot.

The man was taken to Boone Memorial Hospital then to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital, troopers said.

A suspect is in custody.
