Emogene Combs Hall, 92, of Spencer

Emogene Combs Hall, 92, of Spencer WV, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Cedar Grove Assisted Living, Parkersburg.

She was born October 17, 1927, at Tariff, the daughter of the late John Warren and Lydia Jeffers Jones Combs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Hall; brothers, Fred Jones, Cecil Jones, Dana Jones, Clarence Combs, Brooks Combs and Paul Combs; sisters, Agnes Jones Fields, Ruth Jones Full and Hester Combs Valentine.

Mrs. Hall was a former ten year employee of Traders Bank, Spencer. She was a member of the Wetzel Chapter No. 27, Order of the Eastern Star and the St. John's United Methodist Church, Spencer.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Geary and Dixie Hall of Spencer and Jeffrey Hall, Sr. of Leroy; daughter, Lisa Hall of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Jason Hall of Spencer, Heather Ware of Huntington and Jeffrey (Lanisha) Hall, Jr. of Zanesville OH; great grandson, Krystian Hall also of Spencer; sister, Betty Starcher of Charleston.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3 at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. The family will receive friends two hours before the funeral.
