FIRE STRIKES SPENCER APARTMENTS

Roane County 911 said firefighters responded Tuesday morning to a blaze at an apartment in Spencer. The blaze occurred about 10:30 a.m. on Church Street next to the Roane County Courthouse. Everyone was able to get out of the apartment safely. There was another vacant apartment building beside it, but dispatchers were not sure if it was damaged. Dispatchers said there is a row of businesses underneath the apartment in the building, but it was unclear if they were affected.
