Larry Gene Butler, 74, of Normantown

Larry Gene Butler, 74, of Normantown WV passed away on December 4, 2019 at University Hospital Center, Clarksburg WV.

He was born September 6, 1945 in Elyria, Ohio, a son of the late Waldo and Phyllis Hanlin Butler.

Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Edith Gail Butler, children Kenneth (Dianna) Frasure of Pikeville KY, Tammy (Gerry) Shackleford of Linn WV, Dough (Rebecca) Butler of Normantown, brother Kenneth (Donna) Butler of Plymouth MI, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Larry lived in Lorain County, Ohio for most of his adult life. He retired, after 30 years, from Ford Motor Company's Lorain Assembly Plant. Following retirement, Larry and Gail moved to Normantown WV where they had a house built along with a large garage and barn which housed his beloved horses.

A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville WV on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Underwood officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Collins Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Cancer Fund, 217 E. Main St. Glenville WV 26351.
