ALL ELECTRIC LINES RESTORED - Allegheny Power Reports, Roane Still Has 63 Customers Without Service

(02/26/2003)
Allegheny Power reports today all electric service lines have been restored in Calhoun County.

Sonja Miller, spokesperson for Allegheny, said most of the service had been restored yesterday, ten days after an ice storm struck the area, downing hundreds of lines.

Dozens of extra crews have been working since last weekend to get the job done.

Miller said Peniel Road in Roane County still had 50 customers without service and 13 other "scattered"customers.

Frontier Telephone, which serves all of Calhoun County, was unavailable for comment. Karen Miller, public relations representative was out of the office. The company had most of the phone service restored in about eight days.
