| Steven Dale Kocher age 70 of Perkins WV, departed this life in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg WV, following an extended illness.
He was born June 20, 1949 in LaGrange IN, son of the late Dale and Darleen Hall Kocher.
Steven is a 1967 graduate of Prairie Heights High School in LaGrange. He worked sawmills in the timber industry and enjoyed ATV riding, NASCAR, and living the quiet life in WV.
On October 13, 1990 Steven married the love of his life Robert Sue Turner-Kocher, who preceded him in death on October 3, 2014.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Mandy and Holly Kocher of LaGrange IN Aundrea Krontz of Angola IN; 1 son, Eric Kocher of LaGrange; 1 step-son, William "Billy" Turner of Perkins; 4 sisters, Marla Miller (Johnnie) of Frametown WV, Renae Stepp of Ashley IN, Linda Halsey and Patti Williams (Harry) both of Stroh IN; 2 brothers, Richard Kocher (Denise) and Gary Kocher both of Stroh; and a host of grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.
Stevens request for cremation has been honored and the family will privately spread his ashes on the Jenkins home place at a later date.
