TWO ESCAPE FROM CLAY APARTMENT FIRE

Several fire stations responded Wednesday morning to an apartment fire in Clay County.

The blaze at the one-story building was reported about 9 a.m. in the 2200 block of Main Street in the Two Run area, Clay County 911 said.

A dispatcher said the two people inside got out safely, and no injuries were reported.

Four families were displaced Wednesday in the apartment building fire that left only the walls standing.

It took firefighters two hours to put it out. No one was hurt.

The building is an older church that was converted into apartments.

No damage estimate was immediately available.
