Loiseau was reportedly thrown from the vehicle. Calhoun EMS and members of the Grantsville Fire Department responded at 12:37 p.m. to a remote area on Straight Creek about six miles from Munday Road. Workers stated they had to cross a creek to reach the injured man.

CAMC's chopper was unavailable with services being dispatched from Huntington. Loiseau was life-flighted from the new Army Reserve Center near Big Bend.
