GUNFIRE — The Cabell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after Ona firefighters discovered Tuesday morning their building and three fire engines were damaged by gunfire.

Officials at the scene said 13 bullets hit the building, and three trucks inside the building were struck. Only one of the three trucks are in service. Officials said two of the trucks are leaking fluid.

The Ona Volunteer Fire Department has a total of five fire engines, including the three that were struck.

The fire department has security cameras, and deputies are looking for other security video as well.
