BUSY LAW ENFORCEMENT FRIDAY

Friday was a busy day for law enforcement in Calhoun.

Law enforcement was notified that a vehicle, likely with two females, passed a stopped school bus discharging children on Phillips Run, the report indicating that a child was nearly struck. Police have a description of the vehicle.

An identified man fled at high speed from the Calhoun Sheriff Friday afternoon on the Mt. Zion Ridge, the sheriff attempting to make a traffic stop. The driver and vehicle was thought to have exited Daniels Run/Altizer. The Sheriff's Department and State Police continued the search.

Calhoun Banks reported to the State Police that counterfeit money had been passed at the bank.
