Larry K. O'Dell, 66, of Spencer

Larry K. O'Dell, 66, of Spencer, died Monday, October 14, 2019, at CAMC-General Hospital, Charleston.

He was born March 7, 1953, at Left Hand, the son of Faye Goodwin O'Dell of Walton and the late Patrick O'Dell.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard O'Dell; two sisters, Barbara Caldwell and Betty O'Dell.

Larry was a retired timberman and pipeline employee. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Also, he attended the Otto Community Church. Larry will be missed by the little dog he loved, 'Cookie.'

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Wanda Smith of Spencer; stepson, Robert Lee Smith of Spencer; stepdaughters and son-in-law, Christina and Andrew Schreckengost of Spencer, Angela Smith of Spencer and Roberta Nichols of Calhoun County; four step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; brothers, Greg, Eddie, Mike, Roger and Randy O'Dell all of Walton and Gary O'Dell of Clendenin; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann and Dave Young of Looneyville and Joann Greathouse.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Dave Young officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Spencer. The visitation will be one hour before the service.
