Walter Guy Boggs, 59, of Newton

Walter Guy Boggs, 59, of Newton WV died October 4, 2019, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

He was born March 6, 1960 at Newton, the son of the late Henry C. and Clara Jane Finchman Boggs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Boggs and Roy Boggs; five sisters, Gusty Gandee, Bonnie Gillenwater, Grace Lloyd, Myrtle Holly and Doris Osborne.

Walter was a member of the LaborersÂ’ International Union, Local 1353, Charleston and the Newton Baptist Church, Newton.

Survivors include nine brothers, Robert Boggs of Massillon, Ohio, Ronzel Boggs of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Doy Boggs of Beach City, Ohio, Cecil Boggs of Looneyville WV, Dallas Boggs of Newton, John Boggs also of Massillon, Ohio, Homer Boggs and Wilbert Boggs both of Newton, and Dale Boggs also of Beach City, Ohio; three sisters, Betty Collins of Ivydale WV, Carolyn Ball of Brewster, Ohio and Linda Rowland of Beach City, Ohio.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6 at the Boggs Family Cemetery, Newton, with Preacher Philip Linger officiating. John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.
