He was born February 13, 1928, a son of the late Earl and Rosie Fall Hicks.

He is survived by one son, three daughters, nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Velma Carter Hicks, two brothers, and four sisters.

A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg WV, on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Roger Carter officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service. Interment will be in Bailey Cemetery.
